Vandal men's 2024-25 non-conference schedule announced
MOSCOW — The second season under Idaho men's basketball coach Alex Pribble will tip off on Nov. 4 against Northwest at ICCU Arena.
The nonconference stretch features 13 contests, including five games at the ICCU Arena, four in California, two against NCAA Tournament teams from a season ago, one Big Sky-Summit League Challenge matchup and a trip to Corvallis, Ore.
Idaho will open the regular season with a pair of games at home in Moscow, beginning with the season opener against Northwest on Nov. 4 and a meeting with UC Davis on Nov. 7.
The Vandals will make the short trip to Pullman to face Washington State on Nov. 11 for the 279th all-time meeting between the two programs.
Idaho will face a second NCAA Tournament team to follow, as the Vandals travel to Provo to take on BYU for the first time since 2001.
Before returning home for a matchup against Evergreen State on Nov. 19, the Vandals will travel to San Diego for a pair of games on Nov. 23-24. UI tips off against Southern Utah on Nov. 23 before facing host San Diego on the following day.
The Vandals return to Moscow to go up against Big West opponent UC Riverside on Nov. 30 before traveling across the country to compete in the Big Sky-Summit Challenge on Dec. 4 against Kansas City.
On Saturday, Dec. 7, Idaho travels to Corvallis to take on Oregon State for the 174th all-time meeting and first since 2011-12.
Idaho will face a trio of California schools to round out its non-conference schedule, starting with a home matchup against UC San Diego on Dec. 15. After a meeting with the Tridents, the Vandals travel to compete against UC Davis on Dec. 18 and Pacific on Dec. 21 before starting Big Sky play at home against the defending Big Sky champion Montana State Bobcats on Jan. 2.
Locals on the Idaho squad include freshman guard Kolton Mitchell and senior forward Julius Mims (North Idaho College).
