40 Under 40: Tashauna Devine
STAFF REPORT | Hagadone News Network | UPDATED 8 months AGO
Dr. Tashauna Devine, 25, is the co-owner of Devine Chiropractic and Sports Medicine in Ephrata. Devine and her husband, Cameron Whittle, are celebrating five years of owning their business. Devine, who was born and raised just outside of Ephrata near Moses Lake, has expanded the clinic to meet the needs of the community. She has received certifications in pregnancy and pediatric chiropractic, resulting in the clinic now seeing triple the number of new patients per week.
Recently, Devine organized a free pregnancy seminar at the clinic. The event featured a mental health therapist, nutritionist, doula, and massage therapist to increase awareness of resources available for women looking to conceive, are pregnant, or in postpartum.
Devine completed her first Bachelor of Science in Movement Studies at Washington State University before working for a chiropractor in Moses Lake, which inspired her to pursue chiropractic as a career. She applied to the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon, where she earned a second Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a Master’s Degree in Sports Medicine.
Outside of work, Devine and Whittle serve on the board of the Boys and Girls Club of the Columbia Basin. Devine helped with raising funds to support the summer programs for over 200 children after Moses Lake School District budget cuts were announced. She also contributes to the auction committee, which is the Boys and Girls Club’s biggest fundraiser. Devine is actively involved in supporting youth sports in the community by donating to local school and club programs.
In her spare time, Devine plays the piano and performs at her church a few times a month. She remains committed to attending public events and contributing to the community’s growth.
