Police arrest stabbing suspect in Hayden

HAYDEN — Police arrested a man early Monday morning after he allegedly wounded two people with a knife, leaving them with nonlife-threatening injuries.
Andrew Trump, 23, of Cave Junction, Ore., was arrested on charges of aggravated battery, according to police.
The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office responded around 3 a.m. to a reported stabbing at a Hayden residence. A victim reportedly told police that two people were injured and the suspect, later identified as Trump, was on the scene and had a knife.
Police said a preliminary investigation indicated that Trump stabbed someone at the residence during an argument. The victim was transported to the hospital.
Another person who tried to intervene reportedly sustained a laceration to a finger, which was treated at the scene.
