A "get ready" evacuation advisory is in place for residents in the Worley area east of Cave Bay Road to Mowry Road, and north to Johnson Road due to a fire in the area, according to Kootenai County Emergency Management.

Fire crews and law enforcement as well as Tribal PD are on the scene of the Mowry Fire near the Couer d'Alene Reservation, which is about 103 acres in size as of 5:20 p.m. Though the fire appears to be under control at this time, crews are remaining on the scene to prevent the fire from growing.

This is a developing story.
