The Flathead County Board of Adjustment on Tuesday will consider allowing a veterinary clinic to operate in an existing commercial building in Evergreen.

Aurora and Travis Pfankuch are requesting a conditional use permit to operate in the building formerly occupied by the Child Development Center, which closed earlier this year.

The board meets at 6 p.m. on the second floor conference room of the South Campus Building, 40 11th St. W., Kalispell.

The property at 1725 Montana 35 contains the commercial building, a playground and covered pavilion. The applicant says the existing building would be modified for use as a small animal veterinary clinic and the large outside area would provide adequate area for pet walking.

The 3.7-acre site contains about 30 parking spaces for clients and employees with access to the highway. The hours of operation are expected to be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Four other items are on the agenda.

A request from Joseph Schmit for an after the fact conditional use permit to establish a guest house on a property at 5560 N. Ashley Lake Road near Kila. The property is 1.43 acres.

The board will consider revoking a permit for a short-term rental issued to Christa and William Beveridge for property at 825 Cantrell Court near Whitefish.

An appeal by Aurora Goddard and Jeremy Snell regarding a zoning administrator's approval for an administrative conditional use permit for short-term rental at 700 Wolf Creek Drive near Bigfork.

The board will also look at a request from Dawn and Patrick Glynn for a temporary use to use an RV for housing at 246 and 250 Fern Lane near Kalispell. The RV would be used while a home is being constructed on the roughly 4 acre property.
