Grant PUD gets clean audit report

EPHRATA — Grant County Public Utility District employees adequately monitored PUD operations to protect public money, according to a report from the Washington Auditor’s Office.
The audit, released Monday, covered 2021-22. Auditors reviewed overall purchases during the two years, credit card purchases and electronic fund transfers and utility billing adjustments. They reviewed change orders on PUD projects, overtime and pay raises, the conversion to a new computer system, and compliance with public meeting and executive session requirements. Auditors reviewed the PUD’s compliance with paid family and medical leave and unemployment compensation.
