Gallery to showcase artist Kathy Gale at Pend d’Orielle Winery
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 1 year AGO
The Art Spirit Gallery has announced a special opportunity to share the works of artist Kathy Gale with the Sandpoint community throughout the month of December.
Gale's art will be on display at the Pend d’Orielle Winery, 301 Cedar St., now through Dec. 23. The winery is open noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.
Gale has been painting since 2005, with her work blending impressionism and abstract qualities. Drawing inspiration from the landscapes she captures during her travels across Washington, Idaho, Oregon and Montana, her current pieces reflect a deep connection to nature. Gale holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Gonzaga University and has participated in numerous regional events over the past 15 years. She is also a valued member of the Art Spirit Gallery in Coeur d'Alene. In 2013, she co-founded the Coeur d'Alene Artists' Studio Tour with local artist Teresa McHugh, significantly contributing to the local arts community with continued growth and support from the Coeur d'Alene Arts and Cultural Alliance.
Gale believes the practice of making art is a shared journey, fueled by the love of family and friends that deeply enriches her creative process.
The Pend d’Oreille Winery has been integrated into the Sandpoint community since 1995, when it was first established by Steve and Julie Meyer. Pend d’Oreille Winery was purchased in 2017 by Jim Bopp and Kylie Presta, who continue the legacy of award-winning wine production and share the story of Pend d’Oreille Winery.
The winery's tasting room hosts live music each Friday and Saturday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evenings are dedicated to live piano performances on an 1863 grand piano. The winery also supports local art and hosts a rotating artist of the month.
