PREP SOCCER: Simpson, Lehosit named first-team all-state

Timberlake senior midfielder Lucy Simpson and Coeur d'Alene Charter senior defender Lydia Lehosit were named to the state 4A girls first-team, which was voted on by coaches throughout the state and announced recently by the Idaho Statesman.

Coeur d'Alene Charter junior defender Liam Hughes and junior Mattis Macmillan were a first-team selection in 4A after helping the Panthers to a runner-up finish at state at The Fields in Post Falls.

Senior midfielder Treffen McCord was a second-team selection for Coeur d'Alene Charter. 

Coeur d'Alene senior forward Kason Pintler and junior defender Jaxon Fantozzi were named to the 6A all-state soccer second team, voted on by coaches throughout the state and announced recently by the Idaho Statesman.

Sandpoint senior goalkeeper Lilliana Brinkmeier was named the state 5A girls Player of the Year after leading the Bulldogs to a runner-up finish in October. Lewiston sophomore defender Avery Lathen and Sandpoint junior defender Cecilia Dignan were named to the first-team. Post Falls senior goalkeeper Ellie McGowan was named to the second-team, along with Lewiston junior forward Trinity Bonebrake, Lewiston junior midfielder Brynn Wimer, Lewiston senior defender Asia Roberts, Sandpoint junior defender Ava Glahe and Sandpoint junior defender Mackenzie Mitchell.

Sandpoint junior forward Huxley Hall was a 5A first-team selection, with teammate Luke Leavitt, a senior forward, being named to the second-team.

Bonners Ferry senior forwards Nikita Rawson and Eli Blackmore were named to the first-team for the Badgers, who advanced to the consolation championship game at The Fields in Post Falls.
