PREP WRESTLING: Post Falls wins Sidney duals tourney; T-Wolves second after Day 1 in Polson

SIDNEY, Mont. — Rider Seguine (138 pounds), Tanner Piper (150), Kyle Miller (157), Damion Hamilton (165), Trey Smith (175), Seth Martin (190) and Kendall Sage (215) went 4-0 on Friday, leading Post Falls to the duals tournament title at the Sidney Invitational at Sidney High. 

Post Falls beat Lake Stevens (Wash.) 66-15 in the championship match after beating Laurel (Mont.) 60-8 in the semifinals and Rapid City Central (S.D.) in the quarterfinals 67-10. The Trojans opened the tournament with a 64-12 win over Hardin (Mont.). 

The bracketed tournament concludes today.

Lake City second after

first day at Owen Invitational

POLSON, Mont. — Bryson Duboise (144 pounds), Josh MacDonald (144), Alden Curto (150), Nathan Booth (175), Caden Kemper (175), Cliff Eddington (190), James Vincent (215), Garrett Leonard (215) and Sebastian Mosman (285) went unbeaten to advance to the semifinals of the Owen Invitational at Linderman Gymnasium. 

Lake City is second in the 19-team tournament with 97.5 points, trailing Libby, who leads with 101 points. Frenchtown is third with 96.5 points. 

“It’s very winnable, but we’ve got some things to do tomorrow,” Lake City coach Corey Owen said.  

Alexxis Johnson (120) and Justyce Dorn (145) advanced to the semifinals in the girls tournament for Lake City. 

Finals are scheduled for today at 2 p.m. PST.
