COEUR d’ALENE — A man accused of assaulting a woman with a knife is being held on $100,000 bail.

Adrian W. Fister, 38, of Coeur d’Alene, is charged with attempted strangulation, aggravated assault and domestic battery.

Law enforcement responded Tuesday to a report of a domestic battery at a home on East Elm Avenue in Coeur d’Alene.

A woman reported that Fister “strangled her and struck her numerous times” during an argument, according to police. Fister also allegedly assaulted the woman with a knife. She sustained “visible injuries,” police said.

Police obtained a warrant for Fister’s arrest.
