Moses Lake Police Department officers arrested Samuel Cantu, 41, for child endangerment, methamphetamine sales in a school zone and weapon enhancements after the department served a search warrant.

MOSES LAKE — The Moses Lake Police Department released a statement regarding the arrest of two for child endangerment after a search warrant was executed.
Samuel Cantu, 41, and Nicole Ortega, 33, were both booked into Grant County Jail on multiple charges of child endangerment with a controlled substance. The children are currently in the care of Child Protective Services.
The MLPD major crimes detectives served a search warrant on a residence in the 2600 block of Wall Street, after information was given to the department indicating children were in danger. Detectives located six firearms, distribution quantities of methamphetamine, scales and packaging material.
Cantu was also booked on charges related to methamphetamine sales in a school zone and weapon enhancements.
