Mattawa PD searching for shooting suspect

MATTAWA — The Mattawa Police Department released a statement regarding a weapons call Saturday afternoon in the 100 block of Columbia Avenue. 


A suspect fired multiple shots at a vehicle with two subjects inside. The two occupants of the vehicle fled the area and called in the incident after arriving in a safe area.  


MPD with the assistance of Grant County Sheriff's Office recovered evidence. The suspect was identified as a 20-year-old Mattawa resident; however, attempts to locate the suspect have been unsuccessful.  


MPD is asking those with any information regarding the incident to contact the department at 509-932-4112 and reference case number 24MA1239.
