COEUR d’ALENE — Levity Theatre will present an “Improv Comedy Holiday Special" at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27, at 623 E. Wallace Ave., Coeur d'Alene.

This festive comedy show will include improvised Christmas carols, fast-paced improv games, light competition among performers and more.

In the past, Levity Theatre presented a "Comedy Clash Holiday Special," but this year will be different.

“We wanted to move away from 'Comedy Clash,' as it left a lot of our improvisers feeling like they were bad improvisers, because several people always got eliminated,” Levity Theatre founder Noah Johnson said in a Wednesday news release. “This year, we’re changing up the format a little to focus on the holiday spirit and our community. We will also have a few special guests from other improv organizations around here, which I am very excited for.”

More than $1,000 in prizes will be given away throughout the evening. All prizes have been generously contributed by local businesses across Kootenai and Spokane counties. Winners will be selected at random. One raffle submission will be given to each audience member in attendance.

Tickets for adults are $15 online and $20 at the door, and for children ages 6-17 tickets are $10 online and $15 at the door. Admission for kids 5 and younger is free. Visit levitytheatre.com/shows for tickets.

Levity Theatre serves the community by offering a comedy club that offers high-quality improvised comedy that is hilarious, light, original and for all ages. Its mission is to bring people together through laughter and to excite and educate individuals about the art form of improv comedy.
