NAMPA — Naia Lamb (117 pounds) and Tadhg McLaimtaig (95) represented Priest River Middle School on the big stage this past Saturday, placing third and fourth in their respective weight classes at the Idaho Middle School State Wrestling Championship held at the Idaho Ford Center.

Lamb went 5-2 overall, wrestling to two wins by pin, one by decision, one by major decision, and one by technical fall. Her 16-0 win by technical fall in her bracket's third-place match showcased her strength among the state's best.

McLaimtaig also went 5-2, winning three bouts by major decisions, one by technical fall, and one by pin. Also picking up wins for the Spartans were Rusty Caudill (4-2 at 85) and Austin Schuler (2-2 at 120).

For Sandpoint, Maxx Watson (105) and Cole Martin (126) both notched two wins by pin, Daphne Krenelka (145 girls) a win by decision and Harley Buxton (145 girls) a win by pin.
