Playing familiar league foes can mean a slate of different challenges since opponents are familiar with your tendencies and players.

Charlo had two league matchups before the holidays and unfortunately fell in both.

Karson Cox posted 27 points, 24 rebounds, and seven blocks, but the Vikings lost their second game of the year, dropping a 44-68 game to Western 13C foe Superior on Saturday, Dec. 21. Superior improved to 4-1 on the year with the victory.

Charlo suffered its first loss of the season last Thursday, dropping a 55-24 matchup to Western 13C adversary Seeley Swan. The Vikings got nine points from Cox and Kenyan DuMont but had an unusually low-scoring game. Tasker Brown added five points to the Vikings’ total.

It was the first loss of the year after the Vikings accumulated 130 points and won their first two games.

The Blackhawks improved their season record to 4-1 on the year. Last year, Seeley-Swan was not in the league but posted a 12-8 record in 2023-2024.
