Jon Robert Luke passed away peacefully Dec. 9, 2024. He was born in Whitefish to Robert and Dolores Luke.

He grew up happy and carefree, graduating from Whitefish High School in 1967.  He was drafted into the Army due to a late library fine and served two years in Bamburg Germany.

He was married to Kona Luke for over twenty years and had two outdoorsy boys. While living in Libby he worked for Gene’s Body Shop and went hunting and fishing every chance he had.

The family moved to Kalispell where he built, owned, and operated Woodlawn Auto Body for several years. He spent three decades as an insurance estimator for State Farm before retiring in Hungry Horse.

Jon took great pleasure in hunting, fishing, camping, and four-wheeling with friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, older sister Diane, and several aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his sister Michelle, sons James and Josh (Angelina) Luke, five grandchildren: JD, Jonathan, Kelsey, Landyr, and Ryder; great-grandchildren Chloe and one great-grandchild due in March.

We will remember his humor, deep laugh, kindness, and wisdom.
