Greenchain wrestlers 11th at Wild Memorial Tournament

The Libby Loggers Greenchain competed in the George Wild Memorial Tournament last weekend in Kellogg, Idaho.

The Greenchain placed 11th with 81.5 points in the 23-team field. Levi Nick was their only placewinner.

Nick took fourth at 106 pounds after finishing 2-2. Nick scored a pin over Post Falls’ Ethan Ruth before getting pinned by Kellogg’s Johnny Stovern. Nick pinned Flathead’s Mason Lackey in the consolation semifinals then was pinned in the third-place match by Coeur d’Alene’s Chance Tucker.

Other Greenchain wrestlers competing were Bridger Bache was 1-2 in 120 pounds, Darrin Denton was 2-2 at 132 pounds, Brayson Orr was 1-2 at 138, Gabe Kosters was 2-2 at 144, Boe Miles was 3-2 at 150, Tristan DeShazer was 3-2 at 157, Tanner Wolfe was 4-2 at 165, Ian Thom was 4-2 at 190 and Brysen Miller was 1-2 at 215.

Coeur d’Alene won with 236 points. It had four champions and four third-place finishers.

Eureka was seventh with 121.5 and Flathead was 10th with 86.5. The Lions had three place winners and one champion in 285-pounder Wes Banks.

Libby returns to the mat Jan. 3-4 at the Ronan Tournament.
