Peterson named reserve pole bending champion at Junior Rodeo World Finals

Forrest Bird Charter sophomore Alicia Peterson, alongside her coach, Amber Villelli, is all smiles after placing second out of 60 competitors in the 17-and-under division of pole bending at the Junior World Rodeo Finals held Dec. 5-14 at the Las Vegas Convention Center's Wrangler Rodeo Arena. Peterson's three pole bending runs averaged out to 20.615 seconds, with her fastest being 20.279 seconds. Her total of 61.845 seconds was just 0.339 seconds behind first place. Peterson's runner-up finish will serve as good motivation for 2025, as she plans to qualify and attend the World Finals next ye…
