Valkyries swimmers take 16th at Missoula Invite

The Valkyries swimmers were in action over the weekend, taking 16th at the Missoula Invite.
Danika Bucklin had the top individual finishes for Bigfork, taking 16th in both the 100 freestyle (1:03.87) and the 50 freestyle (28.79 seconds) while Ashlyn McGill was 21st in the 500 freestyle and 27th in the 100 breaststroke.
In the relay races, the 400 freestyle relay team of Maci Pickens, McGill, Erika Dowling and Bucklin was 10th while 200 freestyle team of McGill, Pickens, Ellena Peterson and Bucklin was 12th and the 200 medley team of Peterson, Kylie Kinslow, Dowling and Alexandra Cash was 13th.
Elsewhere for the Vals, Peterson was 24th in the 200 individual medley and 36th in the 100 backstroke, Pickens was 24th in the 100 backstroke and 32nd in the 200 freestyle, Dowling was 22nd in the 500 freestyle and 26th in the 200 IM, Anna Thompson was 25th in the 500 freestyle and 45th in the 200, Kinslow took 27th in the 200 IM and 31st in the 100 breaststroke, Cash was 38th in the 200 freestyle and 46th in the 50 and Emma Benn was 39th in the 100 backstroke and 74th in the 50 freestyle.
Next up for the Vals will be the state meet at Great Falls Feb. 9.
