Jaylene Patrice McCoy, 38

Jaylene Patrice McCoy, 38, of Wallace, Idaho, beloved sister, aunt and best friend, passed away Feb. 3, 2024, at The Schneidmiller Hospice House in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Jaylene was born July 9, 1985, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, a daughter of the late Gary McCoy and JoAnne (Cross) McCoy. 

Jaylene was a Wallace High School graduate, Class of 2003. She was a warrior having faced many medical complications throughout her life. She fought through diabetes, kidney failure, strokes and the recent open-heart surgery and was strong until the very end. 

She helped raise her niece, Chelsie McCoy, and the two developed a very close bond. Jaylene enjoyed shopping, going to the casino and her beloved canine companion, Daisy. Her determination, kind spirit and zest for life will never be forgotten. 

Jaylene is survived by her sister, Tina McCoy (Dylan Halley) of Kellogg, Idaho; two nieces, Chelsie McCoy of Wallace, Idaho and Annabelle McCoy-Halley of Kellogg, Idaho; an aunt, Beth Saupe of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; numerous cousins and special friends Jake and Tonia Manecke and their two boys.

Jay made a difference in a lot of people’s lives, always showing her beautiful smile, even in the hard times!

A celebration of Jaylene’s life is being planned for a later date to be announced.
