COEUR d’ALENE — Gunner Larson, one of four players honored on senior night, scored nine of his 13 points in the first quarter as the Coeur d’Alene Vikings raced past the Moscow Bears 64-30 in the Inland Empire League and regular season finale Monday night at Viking Court.
Junior Carter Rupp hit 5 of 8 3-pointers, and scored 11 of his game-high 17 points in the third quarter for Coeur d’Alene (18-3, 9-0 IEL), which won its eighth straight. Sophomore Caden Symons added 15 points for the Vikings.
Logan Orchard, Trey Nipp and Max Entzi were the other seniors honored.
“It was special,” fourth-year Coeur d’Alene coach Jon Adams said. “Definitely a special group of seniors; these guys were freshmen my first year of coaching here. We’ve been through so much together; it’s surreal that it’s come to this point.”

Coeur d’Alene is the top seed for the 5A Region 1 tournament, and will open at home against the No. 4 seed (to be determined) Friday at 6:30 p.m.
