EPHRATA — The Ephrata School District reminds students, faculty and staff that counseling is available if anyone is in need of help after the passing of Jett Johnson in a car accident Monday.

Jett’s mother, Heidi Johnson, is a teacher at Ephrata Middle School, thus counseling efforts are focused on those two campuses but available to anyone in need at the district.

Ephrata High School counseling staff may be reached at 509-754-5285 while Ephrata Middle School counselors may be reached at 509-754-4659.

The Columbia Basin Herald is working with Jett’s family to put together a tribute story honoring his memory and we have already spoken briefly with Heidi. Anyone with a memory to share regarding Jett’s impact on their lives may send that information to [email protected]. The staff at the paper send our heartfelt condolences to those who knew Jett and will feel his absence.
