Blanche Jeweldean Arthur, 95, of Mullan, Idaho, passed away Dec. 22, 2023, at Shoshone Medical Center in Kellogg, Idaho. Blanche was born Feb. 19, 1928, in Creston, N.C., to Clifford Ray Farmer and Ida Jane Sluder Farmer.                   

Blanche enjoyed gardening, visiting with friends and family and taking great pride in her cookie jar collection.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Edward Arthur, son Herbie Arthur, two grandsons, Billy Castaner and Steven Arthur, brothers Howard and Daryl Farmer and sisters Phyllis Neaves, and Lois Nichols, Lenna Keys and close friend and companion Jim Muenzhuber.

Blanche is survived by four daughters, Linda Cortez of Walla Walla, Wash., Connie (Paul) Pitman of Mullan, Jessie (Jerry) Ploharz of Mullan and Brenda Jones of Spokane, Wash., one son, Ray (Khristine) Arthur of Elko, Nev., two sisters, Eva Sue Weaver of Jefferson, N.C., and Pat Mahaffey of Creston, N.C., two brothers, RC Farmer of Mountain City, Tenn., and Tom Farmer of Creston, N.C., 18 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time. Shoshone Funeral Service, Kellogg, Idaho, is assisting with arrangements.
