A new Veterans Affairs clinic slated to open in Kalispell next year will be constructed on Old Reserve Drive near Glacier High School.
A preliminary site map submitted this week to the Kalispell Planning Department shows a 21,766-square-foot clinic. The driveway is located on Reserve Place, leading to a 113-space parking lot, which includes eight standard accessible spots and two van accessible spots. Toward the south end of the lot, there is the potential to expand parking outside of what is already allotted on the site map.
The facility is planned to be twice the size of the existing VA Clinic in Kalispell. Agency officials expect the clinic to begin serving veterans by the fall of 2025.
The new facility is planned to accommodate nearly 6,000 veterans. The existing Kalispell clinic served more than 4,800 veterans in the area.
The project’s architectural firm is Cushing Terrell and Swank Enterprises is the construction contractor.
The facility will utilize the Patient Aligned Care Team model, which prioritizes personalized care by bringing medical professionals together to treat a patient. The new clinic will boast six teams in that model and include an exam room dedicated to women’s health.
Other services will include primary care, mental health care, pharmacy services, social work and physical therapy.
