Ken passed away Dec. 27, 2023. He was born Nov. 12, 1937, in Port Angeles, Wash., to Alford and Carol Amundson. Ken had 11 siblings who preceded him in death.
Ken joined the U.S. Coast Guard and served four years. He always said that he wished he had re-enlisted.
Ken worked as an equipment operator at Merrill & Ring Sawmill for several years. He also worked for Delhur, Inc. as an equipment operator.
He met and married Darlene Albright in August 1966. They lived in Port Angeles, Wash., for a few years and in Wrangell, Alaska. They then moved to Coeur d'Alene.
Ken is survived by his wife, Darlene, his daughter, Julie (Rod) Blake and granddaughter Christy (Justin) Fuller and several nephews and nieces.
Ken never met a stranger and was a very generous person.
At his request, there will be no services.
