PREP WRESTLING: Post Falls third after first day at Rollie Lane

NAMPA — Tyson Barnhart (145 pounds), Damion Hamilton (152), Trey Smith (160), Seth Martin (170) and Kendall Sage (195) went unbeaten for Post Falls, which is third with 95.5 points after Friday’s first day at the Rollie Lane Invitational at the Ford Idaho Center.
Post Falls has seven wrestlers alive in the consolation bracket.
Coeur d’Alene, with eight remaining in the consolation bracket, is tied for 12th with 72 points.
Minico leads the 88-team tournament with 108 points.
Isabella Rice (114 pounds) and Gracelyn Brockman (185) went unbeaten on the first day of the girls tournament for Post Falls to advance to the quarterfinal round. Coeur d’Alene’s Brooklyn Anderson (152), Kellogg’s Izzy Davis (145), Lakeland’s Annika Thompson (152) and Timberlake’s Shelby Garten (132) also advanced.
Lake City sending six
to quarters at Northwest Classic
SPOKANE VALLEY — Aiden Curto (138 pounds), Caden Dutra (150), Nathan Booth (157), Gabe Wullenwaber (175) and Sebastian Mosman (215) went unbeaten for Lake City on the first day of the Pacific Northwest Classic at University High.
Garrett Leonard (215) received a double bye to advance to the quarterfinal round today.
Lake City is 16th with 26 points.
Mead leads the 19-team tournament with 70 points.
