“We knew it would be a tough game,” said Lakeside coach James Twoteeth, whose team was playing for the first time since Dec. 21. “They are a good-sized team; all of them can shoot pretty well. We needed that game.”
Lakeside led 48-44 before Bonners Ferry took the lead with a 14-2 run. The Badgers then sealed the game by hitting 12 of 12 free throws in the final 1:28.
“They just got to the loose balls,” Twoteeth said of the Badgers’ run. “There was a stretch there where they got three offensive rebounds and put them in.”
