Son of Ken Griffey Jr. transfers to Boise State football team

BOISE — Tevin Griffey, who played four seasons at Florida A&M and is the son of Baseball Hall of Famer Ken Griffey Jr., is transferring to Boise State, Broncos football coach Spencer Danielson said.

Tevin Griffey is the sixth transfer that will immediately enroll and join the program. Griffey will begin classes this week and will be available for spring practice.

Griffey played 23 games for FAMU, totaling 24 tackles (15 solo, nine assisted) and was credited with one blocked kick and one interception which was returned 10 yards for a touchdown.

Tevin Griffey's older brother, Trey, played football at Arizona.
