Pack pounce on Flathead for first Crosstown win since 2021

Reese Ramey knocked down three 3-pointers and scored 16 points as the Glacier Wolfpack defeated Flathead 44-31 Friday.
Not coincidentally, it was the Wolfpack’s first crosstown win since February 2021.
“In the past I haven't always had the best crosstown games,” said Ramey, who picked up her first win against the Bravettes as a varsity player. ”Just actually winning feels really good.”
Kennedy Moore scored nine points for the Bravettes (3-4, 1-2), who led 19-15 at the half.
Noah FIncher added nine points for the Wolfpack (3-5, 1-3 in conference), who limited the Flathead to just 12 second-half points.
“Defensively as a team we were aggressive,” said Glacier coach Amanda Cram. “I know coach Fox anticipated that but I don't think she quite anticipated our press.”
Flathead came out of the gates hot, jumping out to an early 8-2 lead after a Harlie Roth 3-pointer. Glacier’s press soon found its footing though, forcing the Bravettes into an abundance of turnovers.
The Wolfpack got their first lead of the night late in the second when a Kenedee Moore jump shot made it 15-13. The Bravettes would answer with a 6-0 run to lead at halftime.
Out of the break Glacier seized the momentum with a 12-0 run — with seven straight points coming from Fincher — to force a Flathead time out. Glacier's press continued to do damage as the Bravettes picked up two 10 second violations and continued to turn over the ball.
In the fourth Moore cut the Bravette deficit down to 35-30 with under three minutes left, but the Wolfpack would go 9-for-13 from the free throw line to seal the game down the stretch.
“We had a gameplan, I feel like the girls executed it very well,” said Cram. “When I looked into their eyes I knew they were locked in and ready to go and they were going to refuse to lose tonight.”
Next on the schedule for the Wolfpack is a Thursday matchup with Missoula Hellgate at home. The Bravettes travel to Butte Tuesday and are also at home Thursday against Missoula Sentinel.
