QUINCY — The Quincy Jacks should be moving back to the Class 2A Central Washington Athletic Conference with the start of the 2024-25 school year. The Washington Interscholastic Athletic Association announced reclassifications Sunday.
Quincy has been competing in the Class 1A Caribou Trail League, and Quincy School District officials said in a press release the school wanted to stay there.
“Despite extensive efforts to maintain the 1A classification through the appeal process, these efforts were not supported by the WIAA,” the release said. “In light of this change, Quincy High School is actively exploring all available options to ensure our students have access to the best possible athletic experience.”
