The Coeur d’Alene Arts and Culture Alliance announced Abby Light as its new executive director.

“Abby's experience and background will bring fresh leadership, energy and creativity to the organization’s programs along with a deep sense of commitment to our community,” said Janie Roth, board chair.

Light has served as the program coordinator at the Arts and Culture Alliance for the past two years along with being a commissioner on the city of Coeur’ d’Alene’s Arts Commission. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in studio art and design from the University of Idaho, and a background working and volunteering in arts and education nonprofits which has given her a breadth of perspective, knowledge and experience.

“The arts play a huge role in creating cultural, social and economic value in our city. I look forward to carrying on the Arts and Culture Alliance’s mission of providing free and quality arts-based programming, as well as giving artists more opportunities to grow and share their talents with the community," Light said.
