Chamber sets osprey cruise

COEUR d'ALENE — The Coeur d'Alene Regional Chamber's Wings Over Water 27th annual Osprey Cruise is scheduled July 13. It will run from 9 to 11 a.m. and leave from The Resort Boardwalk Marina. Boarding starts at 8:30 a.m.


It's billed as "a unique opportunity to explore the breathtaking beauty of Lake Coeur d'Alene’s Cougar Bay aboard the two-story Mish-n-Nock cruise boat."


Attendees will have a chance to witness ospreys in their natural habitat, learn about their characteristics and observe their behavior up close. 


Wildlife experts will be on board to provide insights and answer questions. There will also be exhibits and Idaho lake habitat specialists on board, including the Coeur d'Alene Tribe, Bureau of Land Management and Inland Northwest Land Trust. 


Tickets are $20 for adults and free for kids 12 and younger accompanied by a paying adult. 


Family Rates are $50 for two adults and three children up to 18 years of age. Tickets are $15 for seniors and students.


Coffee and water will be available from the no-host onboard service.
