In helping his team win the District 1 tournament in Junior Little League (age 12-14) baseball, La Fountain struck out 13 batters, and had six hits, including two doubles, and three RBIs as Post Falls advanced to the West Regional in Bend, Ore., July 24-Aug. 1. "Damien is one of our most reliable pitchers," Post Falls manager Gordon Ahlgren said. "He can keep the pitches in the zone and his velocity is strong. He is also a major threat on the basepath. He is fast, and understands how to effectively run the bases. He is a game-changing type of player. "
