A rainbow seen from the employee entrance of the Columbia Basin Herald’s office in Moses Lake last Wednesday. Sadly, the heat and clear weather won’t allow for much rainbow viewing around the Columbia Basin this week.

Monday: Widespread haze before noon. Sunny and hot, with a high near 102. Light and variable wind becoming south 6 to 11 mph in the afternoon. Clear late in the day, with a low around 63. South wind 10 to 14 mph becoming west in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 23 mph.
Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 95. Clear evening, with a low around 62.
Wednesday: Sunny and hot, with a high near 96. Mostly clear that night, with a low around 61.
Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 87. Clear late in the day, with a low around 57.
Friday: Sunny, with a high near 86. Mostly clear evening, with a low around 59.
Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 90.
