Top talent performing at Riverfront Blues Festival

Libby City councilors approved a noise variance at the July 15 meeting for the 15th annual Riverfront Blues Festival.

Hosted by the Libby Revitalization Project, the festival will be held at the Riverfront Park Aug. 9-10.

The event begins at 5 p.m. Friday with Missoula-based Blue Shadows. The Lucky Losers of San Francisco take the stage at 7 p.m. followed by Florida’s Bridget Kelly Band at 9 p.m.

St. Louis’ Hurricane Ruth caps the evening at 11 p.m. 

Saturday, British Columbia native Terry Robb, who now hails from Portland, kicks off the day’s events at noon.

At 2 p.m., Money Penny performs, followed by Portland’s Billy D and the Hoodoos at 4 p.m. Atomic Jive follows at 6 p.m. with Libby’s own Jay Snow and the Tonekeepers at 8 p.m. Chicago’s Toronzo Cannon goes on at 10 p.m.

From 11 p.m. to 1 a.m., the all-star jam of members from the bands that played will join together for a memorable finale.

Tickets are available at High Spirits Liquor Store, Rocky Mountain Music, Homesteader’s Ranch & Feed and the Libby Area Chamber of Commerce. Concert tickets and camping passes are available at https://riverfrontbluesfestival.com/shop/.

A pass for the entire weekend is $85. Friday night tickets are $40 while Saturday is $60.

Kids 12 and under are free with a paying adult. 

There will be food and beverage vendors at the park, too.
