FOR announces basket winners

Friends of the Restorium has announced three lucky winners of the annual gift basket raffle. The raffle raises funds to support and enhance the quality of life for Boundary County Restorium residents.
Jill (Neumeyer) Bean was the winner of a chicken-themed basket. Bean is a native Boundary County resident, and works for the U.S Border Patrol.
Darlene (Zimmerman) Schneider was the winner of a picnic basket. Schneider works in real estate for Pace Kerby and grew up in Boundary County.
Sandi Wright also won a chicken-themed raffle basket. Wright is the president of the Boundary Community Hospital Auxiliary. A homemaker, she also runs a catering business.
“We appreciate the cooperation and help of Super 1 Foods, the manager, Jeff and assistant manager, Ty.” FOR vice president Donna Jo Dirks said of this year's raffle.
Friends of the Restorium is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing financial support to help the county-owned senior living facility. FOR’s goal is to enhance the quality of life for the residents.
Started in 2003 with the belief that it takes a community to help care for the community’s seniors in assisted living. Since its inception, Friends of the Restorium has raised $450,000-$500,000 which has been used for facility upgrades and provide services that advance residents’ safety, care, comfort and enjoyment.
Since FOR is a nonprofit, donations are tax deductible.
Friends of the Restorium welcomes new members. Dues are $5 per year. Send checks to the Friends of the Restorium, P.O. Box 1362, Bonners Ferry, ID 83805.
All are invited to join the group at its monthly lunch at Chic-n-Chop, held at noon on the third Thursday of each month. A barbecue picnic also is planned for June 30.
