BONNERS FERRY — The Senior Hospitality Center board announced Friday, May 31 that it had unanimously voted to remove Misha Naumann-Davis as its interim chief executive officer.

Naumann-Davis volunteered at the center in March, before starting as Interim Director on April 1. The title of her position then changed to interim CEO.

Bonners Ferry police officers were present when Davis was packing up her office. She was subsequently trespassed from the building and was later arrested for trespassing and transported to the Boundary County Jail.

The center's board did not make a statement on why Naumann-Davis was removed. 

On Monday, June 3, the board met in a closed session to discuss the center’s immediate future and personnel. 

“We talked about trying to get things back on the rails,” board member Tom Allinger said later about what was discussed at the meeting. 

Allinger said there have been a few inquiries for the director’s position, but first the board needs to complete a job description before moving forward. However, someone has been interviewed for the maintenance position for the USDA-regulated senior housing facilities.

Linda Lederhose has stepped in as interim director on a temporary basis. 

The Senior Center, 6635 Lincoln St., remains open and lunch is being served at noon, Monday through Thursday. Those interested should call by 10 a.m. to let kitchen staff know how many diners to expect. 

For those 60 and up, lunch is free, but a donation of $5 is appreciated. For those under 59, lunch is $8 a person. 

A weekly lunch menu is in the process as staff is working with the Area Agency on Aging on a menu.
