ALL-LEAGUE SOFTBALL: Thompson named to CIL Second Team

PRIEST RIVER — Priest River’s Cheyenne Thompson recently received 2A Central Idaho League Honors for her efforts on the field this season. A senior, Thompson holds a career .305 batting average and .523 on-base percentage. During this past season, she batted .343 across 11 singles, one double, and eight RBIs and held an impressive .558 OBP. In addition to getting on base, Thompson also was able to notch her fair share of steals, taking 20 bags over the last two seasons. On the mound, she was the Spartans lead pitcher this year, striking out 26 batters over 31 ⅔ innings of work.
