Williams to discuss Albeni Falls Dam, WBCSD at BOCC meeting

I’ve spent most of my life in northeastern Washington and graduated from Eastern Washington University in 2021. After that, I spent roughly two years working for a small online newspaper in North Seattle before realizing big city living wasn’t for me. Me and my pup, Kodak, headed east, where we eventually landed in Sandpoint. When I’m not writing, you can find me spending time exercising and taking photos. I ran two half marathons in high school and after spending the past few years recovering from various injuries, I’m hoping to complete my first full marathon by the end of the year. I also love any outdoor activity, none of which would be complete without my dog. Kodak and I love going for walks and hikes, and I can’t wait to try to convince him to get in my kayak and spend the hot months of the year on Lake Pend Oreille. While he’s not a fan of baths, he sure does love chasing the ducks. | June 11, 2024 1:00 AM
SANDPOINT — Nine points of discussion are on Commissioner Asia Williams’s District 2 commissioner report for this Tuesday.
The Camp Bay trail, commissioner chat guest line up, Albeni Falls Dam, West Bonner County School District, and pending workshops are a few of the items Williams plans to discuss during the regular business meeting.
No other commissioner items have been placed on the agenda.
The county’s Clerk, Emergency Management, Road and Bridge, and Human Resources departments are set to come before the board with requests for memorandums of understanding, bid advertisements, county positions, and monetary approvals.
The meeting is scheduled to end with three executive sessions: For Risk Management, elections, and Human Resources. Executive sessions are closed to the public to give officials a chance to discuss confidential information; however, all decisions must be made in open session.
Board of Bonner County Commission meetings are held at the Bonner County Administration Building, 1500 U.S. 2; and also are live-streamed via YouTube. To access the streams, visit the Bonner County YouTube page at bit.ly/3NElj9X.
