EPHRATA — Levi Spencer has been named the new assistant principal at Ephrata Middle School, according to an Ephrata School District press release. He will start in that role July 1.
The assistant principal role is new to the campus and replaces the dean of students position to expand support, coaching and mentorship for teachers and continuing student success. PJ Anderson, the current dean of students, will resume his prior role as PE Teacher and Athletic Coordinator for the upcoming school year.
Spencer holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and Master of Science in Reading Education from Nova Southeastern University. His bachelor degree is from Eastern Washington University and he has more than two decades in the education field, including most recently serving as the principal of Soap Lake Middle-High School.
“As an educator, it’s always been my passion to support kids and their learning,” said Spencer. “I’m excited to join the team at EMS and collaborate with staff and students to continue elevating the standards of achievement. I’m looking forward to helping lead a team that ensures every student receives the highest quality education and every teacher has the support they need to thrive.”
