BONNERS FERRY — A bench warrant has been issued for a local woman on Tuesday, who did not show up for drug and alcohol testing, which is a condition of her release from jail.
Jamisha Rae Nevarez, known locally as Misha Naumann-Davis, is charged with misdemeanor trespassing and resisting arrest charges. She was held in contempt of court at an arraignment on Friday, June 14.
At the arraignment, Nevarez continually interrupted Magistrate Judge Timothy Van Valin, court documents indicate.
The interruptions prompted Valin to ask for Nevarez to be removed by the bailiff. She was taken to the Boundary County Sheriff’s Office, but was later released without facing additional charges.
Nevarez was charged with misdemeanor charges of trespassing at and resisting arrest May 31, when she was removed from the Seniors Hospitality Center in Bonners Ferry. She was previously the interim CEO at the center, but her employment was terminated by the board on May 31.
At the arraignment, Nevarez requested that Bonners Ferry City Prosecutor Andrakay Pluid be removed from the case, alleging a conflict of interest. Valin denied the request. As part of the conditions of release, Nevarez, was to undergo drug and alcohol testing six times a month. At this time, proceedings are suspended to allow for a psychological examination to determine Nevarez’s ability to understand legal proceedings and assist in her own defense.
