St. Maries teen injured in crash

A St. Maries teenager was hurt in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 3 on Friday afternoon.

According to the Idaho State Police, the 19-year-old male driving a 2019 Toyota Tacoma was involved in a rollover collision around 3 p.m. near milepost 53 in Shoshone County with a 32-year-old male from Pullman, Wash., driving a 2013 Chevrolet Equinox.

The driver of the Toyota was not wearing a seat belt, sustained critical injuries and was transported by air ambulance to a hospital, ISP said.

The driver of the Chevrolet was wearing a seat belt and sustained no apparent injuries, ISP said.

There were no passengers in either vehicle.

An investigation continues.
