OTHELLO — Adams County Pet Rescue in Othello has numerous dogs and cats available for adoption. Each of these animals is looking for a new home to join.

Those interested in adopting an animal from ACPR can begin the adoption process at adamscountypetrescue.com. All pets that are eligible for adoption have been spayed or neutered and are up to date on all vaccinations. 

    Paw Paw, a domestic short-haired male cat, is a playful, active and affectionate kitten. Whether climbing cat trees or watching through the window, Paw Paw loves to explore.
 
 
    Kelda is an adult husky available for adoption at Adams County Pet Rescue in Othello.
 
 
    This domestic short-haired kitten named Gumball is a bit shy at first but begins to warm up to playing after a day or so. Gumball is deeply bonded with his siblings and will be happiest in a home with another cat.
 
 
    This mixed breed named Columbia Basin is a young male dog available for adoption.
 
 
    A chihuahua named Jagger points his ears up while out for a walk. Jagger is available for adoption at Adams County Pet Rescue.
 
 
    An excited male Husky mix named Resevoir excitedly sits in the car during a drive.
 
 
    This male domestic short hair kitten named Darwin would go well in a home with dogs, children and even other cats.
 
 
    Mousavi, a male shepherd mix, is a playful and smart dog that enjoys exploring and making new friends.
 
 
    Wizard, a playful and curious tabby kitten, is one of the many cats available for adoption at Adams County Pet Rescue in Othello.

Moses Lake boys qualify eight, girls send 11 to Mat Classic

MOSES LAKE -- Nineteen total Mavericks qualified to wrestle at the upcoming Mat Classic, with the Moses Lake girls team qualifying 11 wrestlers and the boys team sending eight wrestlers to the Tacoma Dome. The Moses Lake boys took second at districts, scoring 214.5 points at the tournament. Sunnyside won the district tournament with 278.5 points.

MOSES LAKE – The Mavericks closed out the regular season with a trip to Sunnyside on Thursday night, coming out on top of a closely contested game with a 67-66 win over the Grizzlies. “They’ve been playing better, scoring more,” Head Coach Craig Groth said. “We’ve been doing a little bit better job on defense in certain situations and winning games leading up to that. Even games we haven’t won, we’ve been in really close games. Our confidence is really good right now, we felt great going into the game.”
