The left-handed, lefty swinging DeBoer pitched 6.2 shutout innings in the semifinal, then homered, doubled and drove in seven runs in the championship game as the Lums won the East Side Collide on Sunday at Central Washington University in Ellensburg. “He got better and better as he got further along in the game. It was fun to see,” Cd’A coach Darren Taylor said of DeBoer’s gem on the mound. “He’s a great outfielder, too, and a great hitter, so he’s really important to our success.”
