Courtesy photo The Coeur d'Alene Crush 14U fastpitch softball team won the Gold Bracket at the Montana Rumble in Missoula last weekend. The Crush finished 5-0-1, first out of 18 teams. The Crush beat the No. 1 seed in two tie-breaker extra innings in the semifinal game, then defeated the No. 2 seed by one run in the championship game. Jossetta used a 7-iron from 137 yards for her first career ace. She shot 76 to finish second in the girls 13-14 age division.

Participants were able to master their soccer skills, play games, dance and enjoy each other's company. The Lake City girls soccer program has spent the early part of this summer giving back to local organizations and the community.

Lake City will travel to Bellevue this week to play in the prestigious WIBCA Division 1 Showcase Event, where Sunday will include a matchup against back-to-back Washington 4A state champs Mount Si. Lake City has also participated in the University of Utah Team Camp and the Rocky Mountain Showcase this summer while spending seven days in Utah.
