Nichols, a sophomore guard from Post Falls High, scored on a layup at the buzzer as the Hawks (25-2) beat Portland (21-8) 74-72 in an opening round game in the Northwest Athletic Conference Tournament last Saturday in Pasco, Wash. Nichols was 11 of 16 shooting with six steals and five rebounds in the win.
Alyssa Randles

Randles, a freshman from Coeur d'Alene High, earned NAIA All-American status after finishing sixth at 130 pounds in the NAIA Championships on Saturday in Jamestown, N.D. Randles won twice by decision and once via pin, going 3-2 on the weekend.
Ridge Lovett

Lovett, a redshirt junior from Post Falls High, claimed the Big Ten Championship at 149 pounds on Sunday in College Park, Md. In a rematch of a dual in Lincoln, Lovett, the top-seed faced second-seeded Austin Gomez of Michigan in the finals. Lovett led 5-3 headed into the third period, then hung on for a 5-4 decision. The NCAA Championships are March 21-23 at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Mo.

Currie, a senior from Lake City High, finished second with an 8-over 152 at the Logger Invitational on Sunday at the Oakbrook Golf Club in Lakewood, Wash. Currie shot a 2-over 74 in the first round, then was 6-over 78 in the second round, helping the Warriors claim the women's team title.

Heath, a sophomore guard from Post Falls High, had 12 points, four rebounds and four steals for the Hawks in a 70-60 win over Shoreline on Sunday to advance to the Final Four of the NWAC Championships. Columbia Basin will face Lane on Saturday at 7 p.m. in Pasco, Wash.
