HAYDEN — Four Bombastic Brewing beers were recently ranked as some of the best brews in the region during the first Untappd Community Awards. Untappd is a mobile application that allows users to rate and refer beverages.

Notable beverages from Bombastic include their Bukwus bourbon barrel aged imperial stout, which was the gold medal in Idaho’s imperial and double stout category.

The fifth anniversary barrel aged imperial stout took bronze in the same category.

Bombastic earned a silver in the sour and fruit category with the conspiracy sour ale, and the puddle pale ale with citra hops brought a bronze in the pale ale category.

Over 11 million Untappd users rated thousands of breweries and beers last year.

Bombastic Brewing President Russell Mann said these awards come in as his business is expanding.

“We are honored to have four Bombastic Brewing beers rated among the best in Idaho,” Mann said in a press release. 

Bombastic serves 330 locations throughout Idaho, Washington, Montana, Utah and Nevada. It has plans to expand into Oregon and Wyoming.
