A 13-year-old boy has died after he was reportedly struck by a vehicle on U.S. 2 in Kila Saturday.
According to the Montana Highway Patrol, a 70-year-old Kila man was driving a Ford Ranger westbound on the highway when he struck the boy at mile marker 114 around 4:30 p.m. The boy was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was not injured and was wearing a seat belt.
Speed is considered a factor in the crash. Road conditions were bare and dry. The investigation is ongoing and names have not been released.
