Clean up the bathing beach
This Friday afternoon has been set aside for Bathing Beach Day and Polson Business men are expected to be at the bathing beach at one o’clock to clean up the beach, make some needed repairs at the bath house, and get the place in shape for the season. The water is coming up and the work must be done in time.
Committees from the Civic League and Kiwanis club are in charge of arrangements for the work and the city will furnish a man and team. The ladies of the Civic League will serve lunch to the workers.
Every business man who can possibly do so is urged to turn out so that this job can be finished in one afternoon. The Boy Scouts will cooperate in the work.
School levy goes over by big vote
The additional 10-mill levy for the schools was overwhelmingly carried at the election last Saturday. The vote was: For levy, 242; Against levy, 31.
A total of 273 votes were cast, which was unusually heavy in view of the fact that only freeholders were qualified to vote. An interest was taken in the election with the result that the levy was carried by a big margin and the continuation of the schools for the rest of the year was assured.
F. P. Browne, Solomon Redd and Mrs. F. O. Maerdian were election judges.

Rain fails to quench St. Paddy’s Day parade or spirits
