Dave Brink and Cindy Peterson held a class in the old DeBorgia School on creating defensible space around your home before the fire season begins.
Included in the free class was information on trees (including fruit trees), shrubs and other perennials that thrive in the west end of Mineral County. Both Brink and Peterson are with the MSU Extension Office out of Montana State University with Peterson being a Forestry Specialist Associate.
